Find your travel upgrade

What are the best loyalty travel programs? How do I maximize my travel reward points? How do I use my travel rewards most effectively? These are some of the most frequently asked questions in the world of travel. They also are questions that you, our customers, have asked Expedia to help you answer. Recently, we rose to the occasion with a new and improved rewards program. Now we’re upgrading even more by announcing new credit cards co-branded with Citi.

We believe travel is unique and personal, that it has the power to transform. We also recognize that travel requires a monetary investment—an investment that some customers may not be able to realize as quickly as they might like. We have developed these new credit cards to help our customers achieve their travel dreams more quickly.

In short, we see the credit cards as additional tools to help you make your travel dreams come true.

These new credit cards represent a new program designed to help travelers earn travel rewards faster and redeem points throughout the process. Specifically, the program comprises two chip-enabled credit cards: the Expedia+ Card and the Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi. Both of these cards can be used at the millions of locations around the world that accept MasterCard.

Both cards come with a rich range of features and member benefits. Perks with the Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi include immediate Expedia+ gold status, automatic upgrades at more than 1,400 +VIP Access hotels, and amenities at select +VIP Access hotels worldwide.

Here are more details on what travelers who have the Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi receive, and how they can leverage the credit card program to maximize earning potential overall.

  • Earn points toward your next vacation on travel and non-travel spend, with no cap on the amount of points you can earn. Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi members will earn Expedia+ rewards bonus points on travel and non-travel spend, earning two points for every dollar spent on dining out and entertainment, and one point for every dollar spent on other purchases. Card members earn even more for travel purchases on Expedia.com—an  additional four points per dollar spent on flights, hotels, activities, and vacation packages (in addition to regular Expedia+ rewards points for those purchases on Expedia.com).
  • Redeem points toward flight or hotel stays (and get upgrades). Expedia+ rewards points do not expire (so long as points are earned or redeemed at least once every 18 months), and can be redeemed for flights and hotels available on Expedia.com, with no blackout dates.
  • Save on trip expenses. Each year, Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi members receive up to $100 in statement credits toward airline incidentals such as baggage fees, in-flight food and entertainment, and WiFi (on qualifying airlines), or the Global Entry application fee.
  • Obtain further travel perks. Card members have access to many additional travel benefits, such as worldwide car rental insurance, lost baggage protection, and trip cancellation and interruption protection. The Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi also has no foreign transaction fees.

These new credit cards represent a new program designed to help travelers earn travel rewards faster and redeem points throughout the process.

Travelers also can maximize earning potential with the Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi with the help of bonus points. Card members are given Expedia+ gold status each year of membership, which includes a 30 percent bonus on Expedia+ base points, room upgrades at +VIP access hotels, and up to 15 percent off many activities in Orlando and Hawaii through the Expedia Local Expert offering. Members can earn an additional 25,000 Expedia+ rewards points with $2,000 in purchases over the first three months after they open their accounts. Members also receive an anniversary bonus of 5,000 Expedia+ bonus points after spending $10,000 in the prior card membership year.
