Riviera Maya activities
If you’ve booked on Expedia previously, you probably already know that Expedia offers flights, hotels, and cars. But you may not know that you also can book all of your on-the-ground fun right on Expedia’s website.
Activities can be found under the “Things To Do” tab. This means you can pretty much plan your entire getaway right on Expedia.com.
We recently had the opportunity to experience first-hand how great Expedia-booked activities can be, and we tested out a selection of them on our recent journey to the Riviera Maya. The trip was fast and furious; we crammed a number of activities and adventures into a short few days. Once we returned to our home in Seattle, we worked with our friends at Expedia to make a video of the highlights of our trip.
To summarize, there were three highlights of our experience.
On our first full day in the region, we did Expedia’s Tulum Express tour. We were picked up in a modern, comfortable van and, along with about 15 other people, were escorted to a popular, clifftop archaeological site. The ruins were amazing.
Xcaret Park is one of the top-rated Riviera Maya activity options on Expedia, so we spent our entire second day there.
On our last day, we explored Playa del Carmen and it’s legendary nightlife. We capped off our night with a visit to the Vegas-like Coco Bongo.
To read more about all of these outings, check out this post, in which we describe the adventures with greater detail. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the video!
