2016 Best of +VIP Access hotels
Hotels are a huge part of what we do here at Expedia. We’ve got more than 300,000 of them in our database, a number that grows every single day. With every new hotel we add, we learn more about what makes the very best hotels so great.
We also recognize that some of our most seasoned travelers and members know a lot about them, too.
This is why we keep track of our members’ favorite places to stay worldwide and release these findings in our annual Best of +VIP Access list. This list celebrates those of our hotels that scored highest on member satisfaction surveys and questionnaires. Put simply, it honors the best of our best, especially since winners are chosen from our prestigious collection of more than 3,000 +VIP Access hotels. Today, we are happy to unveil our top 10 winners in 2016:
- Prestige Hotel Budapest; Budapest
- K&K Hotel Central Prague; Prague
- Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, Suites and Residences; London
- The Landings St. Lucia – All Suite Resort; St. Lucia
- The Eliot Hotel; Boston
- Hotel Club Frances; Buenos Aires
- The Resort at Pedregal; Los Cabos, Mexico
- Viceroy Bali; Ubud, Bali
- Stoneridge Mountain Resort; Canmore, Canada
- The Kitano New York; New York
As you can see, our winners hail from all over the world. So what do all these hotels have in common? Formally, they and 490 other hotels received the honor for leadership in guest experience, reviews, and ratings.
In practice, this means each of the winners is known for top-notch service—the kind of exactly-what-you-need attention that makes you feel like the staff almost can read your mind. Guest reviews are a critical piece of our service delivery, and when a property exceeds expectations, we want to celebrate that and do our part to recognize the hotels that make the guest experience a top priority every day.
To even be considered for this annual honor, a +VIP Access hotel must have one of the highest member satisfaction scores among our elite (+silver and +gold status) members and have superior reviews. Hotels that qualify also must be top performers in their respective markets, frequently offer an amenity or spa credit (for +silver and +gold), and frequently give +gold members room upgrades, among other factors.
Visitors to Expedia.com can identify a +VIP Access Hotel by looking for the +VIP Access logo alongside each hotel listing.
