And that is why she has created blondstory.com, an on-line magazine where she shares her health discoveries and her favourite recipes and writes about her meetings with experts in the fields of health and well-being. Montreal is a city brimming with inspirational places. It is not known as one of the world’s most eclectic cities for nothing! The city is home to all kinds of unique and original shops, restaurants and cafés.

If you happen to be planning a trip to Montreal soon and you want it to be active and filled with healthy interludes, I believe I have the perfect itinerary for you.

After slipping into your sports gear and running shoes (so you can be comfortable for the amount of miles you will cover during the course of the day), I suggest stopping off at Belém Café & Yoga, a little vegan café on Boulevard St-Laurent, to enjoy a divine coconut milk latte and their famous acai bowl. Not only that, but if you’re bit of a yoga buff it’s the perfect place to energise your day by joining one of their classes.

When you’ve had your fill of vitamins, why not take a half-hour walk through the city to Mount Royal via Park Avenue, giving you the chance en route to clock up a mile or two of walking or (as I prefer) running. If you’re feeling inspired, you could also make use of the park benches or steps to create your own full cardio and weight training workout. An ideal alternative for staying in shape while you’re travelling.

Once you’ve finished your workout, what better way to follow it up than with a few essential stretches at Mount Royal Chalet, which boasts a beautiful panoramic view of Montreal.

Then, after snapping a few selfies, I suggest you explore another of my favorite parts of town: the Old Port of Montreal. It’s about 2.5 miles away, so about an hour’s walk, during which time you will be able to soak up the city’s exciting pace.

By now you will undoubtedly have worked up quite an appetite, so I suggest popping into Venice MTL where you can enjoy lunch in a chilled-out, sunny setting. Whether you opt for one of their soups, salads or famous poke bowls, you will not be disappointed as everything here is truly delicious.

To give you the chance to digest and explore the city’s most historic district at the same time, I suggest you take a wander through the side streets of the Old Port of Montreal. Just a few more steps and you can enjoy a rest in my ultimate relaxation space, the Bota Bota floating spa.

On board, you will be able to experience the water circuit (and all the benefits of the transition from hot to cold for your body and mind), with the added bonus of a fabulous view of the city. Lastly, to finish off the itinerary, my new favourite restaurant is simply irresistible: Lov restaurant, on Rue McGill. Here, you can enjoy a delicious, healthy, gourmet supper.
