Calling all developers

We’re pleased to announce that Expedia is hosting a hackathon at The University of Washington’s Startup Hall January 29-31, 2016. We invite budding and seasoned developers alike to join us to revolutionize the online travel experience.

What is a hackathon? Hackathons are popular industry events that bring together awesome people who have passion for technology and a desire to build cool applications and new products. At this particular hackathon, there’s also a chance to win great prizes!

Our hackathon is free for participants and includes food, drinks, plenty of WiFi, and neat swag. Interested parties can register here as a solo participant or in teams of up to four people.

If you’re interested in participating, you can get a sense of the Expedia APIs that are available at http://hackathon.expedia.com. Developers will have the weekend to create something new and innovative, and pitch their product ideas to the panel of judges for consideration.

You may remember that Expedia has sponsored other hackathons in the past. We were so encouraged by the response to those events, we decided to host a hackathon in our own backyard. We look forward to seeing what people will come up with, and possibly for opportunities to help them bring their idea to fruition!
