Expedia Google+ Hangout on Air: Adventures in Alberta
August 14, 2014
The Canadian province of Alberta is a great place for adventures all year long. It’s home to Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park; Jasper National Park, one of the world’s largest dark sky preserves; and amazing cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, and more. The region also welcomed two one-of-a-kind attractions in 2014—the Glacier Sky Walk, which lets you stand 918 feet over the Sunwapta Valley; and Norquay’s Via Ferrata, a cable-assisted rock-climbing extravaganza.
We’ve scheduled our next Google+ Hangout on Air to spotlight all of the great things Alberta has to offer. To broach the subject, we’ll bring in journalist and Expedia Viewfinder Senior Editor Matt Villano for a report from the field. We’ll also hear from a number of impassioned parties from north of the 49th Parallel, including Nancy Smith and Cameron Wood, two experts from Travel Alberta; Tara Gaucher, an Edmonton whiz; and more.
Over the course of the 30-minute event, our panel will discuss the latest and greatest attractions in Alberta, year-round adventures in the province, and fabulous restaurants and hotels. To participate in the event, simply go to Expedia’s Google+ page on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST. Here, you’ll be able to watch the Hangout on Air live and comment to ask questions.
Got a question beforehand? Let us know and we may include it during the discussion. You can submit it here or Tweet it to @Expedia with the hashtag #ExploreAlberta and we’ll try to address your query during the live event.
