The best of Disneyland year-round

Our team of Expedia Viewfinder bloggers is on the ground at Disneyland, uncovering the best of the Happiest Place on Earth so that you don’t have to.

Later this year, keep an eye out for a series of videos that will give you the insider scoop on all things Disneyland—the best treats, the best activities for adults, the best classic rides. You name it, we’ve got you covered.

For now, follow Expedia’s social media channels and #ExpediaAtDisney for hints of what’s to come.

As we enter into Halloween and the festive season, we want to share a video with you that shares why you might want to spend a holiday or a special event at Disneyland. Have a look!

Halloween time takes over the Disneyland Resort each year throughout September and October. Inspired by the classic animated film “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas,” this transformation is a collision of Halloween creepiness and Christmas cheer. Space Mountain also gets a ghoulish makeover with ghosts appearing out of the starry darkness. Exhilarating drops and curves are punctuated by piercing screams, spine-chilling sound effects, and haunting music.

Come November, Disneyland Resort transforms into a winter wonderland, brimming with holiday-themed merriment around every turn.  It’s a Small World is decked out in its holiday finest inside and out, boasting thousands of twinkling lights. Over in Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise gets a festive makeover. This holiday Jingle Cruise is brimming with new themed jokes and yuletide puns.

Consider planning a visit to coincide with special events. In January you can take part in runDisney races themed to Star Wars. Channel your inner R2-D2 as you run a 5K, 10K, or half marathon through Disneyland Resort. Other runDisney races are found throughout the year, including ones themed to superheroes, Tinker Bell and more.

And finally, don’t miss your final opportunity to experience Tower of Terror at Disney’s California Adventure Park. On January 2, it will begin a reimagining, and will reopen as Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT in summer 2017.
