Hack travel with Expedia at LAUNCH 2016

This month Expedia will join more than 1,000 developers and designers in the San Francisco Bay Area to participate at LAUNCH Hackathon. This will be our third year sponsoring this great event and we can’t wait to see how tech enthusiasts will wow us again with unique solutions for travel.

The event will be held Feb. 26-28.

You may have seen some of the other hackathons Expedia has hosted since our last time at LAUNCH—one in Montreal, in Las Vegas, and in Seattle. As we’ve expanded our hackathon efforts, we’ve added additional APIs to the Expedia portal.  Participants at the upcoming 48-hour LAUNCH Hackathon will be able to build something using these APIs.

Developers will have the weekend to create something new and innovative, and pitch their product ideas to the panel of judges for consideration. This year, we will be awarding more than US$5,000 in prizes to the three teams who use Expedia’s APIs in the most interesting ways.

What’s more, members of our tech team will be onsite for the duration of the hackathon and available to answer questions, prompt unique ideas, and distribute fun swag!

If you’re interested in participating, you can register at https://launchevents.com. Youi also can get a sense of the Expedia APIs that are available at http://hackathon.expedia.com. See you in San Francisco!
