Video: How to pack for a trip to Montana

I have a penchant for packing. My shoulder season trip to Montana’s Glacier Country only fuelled my obsession for matching clothes with map coordinates.

Because I knew the Montana moments I wanted to experience before I left—important intel for packing with efficiency and style—I selected separates to “fit” each location and activity. Then, to maximize outfit potential, I focused on dual-purpose clothes I could dress up or dress down depending on the event.

And there were a lot of events. That’s what happens when you explore The Treasure State’s 145,000+ square miles—there’s no shortage of things to do and territory to see. Case in point: Within a week, I hung out at a horse ranch, hiked into fields of green, and feasted on farm-to-table fare on a road trip between Missoula, the Flathead Valley, Glacier National Park, and Whitefish.

If you’re curious how to pack for Montana’s coordinates, take a gander at this short video showcasing the suitcase essentials—think: denim, outdoor gear, and of course, a cowboy hat!—you’ll need to pair your ensembles with Big Sky Country style.
