Here’s our countdown of the top five new things to do at Walt Disney World Resort.
5. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
This new roller coaster in Magic Kingdom Park takes you on a wild ride through a diamond mine. Fans of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will love spotting familiar faces and singing to “Heigh-Ho” all along the way. Don’t forget to smile for the cameras!
4. Lots of Frozen
Love Frozen? You’re in luck. You can watch Elsa and Anna at the Festival of Fantasy Parade or meet them at Princess Fairytale Hall for a photo op. There’s even a Frozen sing-along show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
3. Harambe Market
Take a break from the rides and enjoy authentic African street food at this market in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new eatery serves ribs, skewers, kabobs, and other regional flavors that will make you want to come back for seconds. Warning: You may want to hang out and indulge all day.
2. Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
These new overwater bungalows look and feel like Bora Bora, but have a beautiful view of Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can enjoy multiple bedrooms, luxury amenities, and even a private plunge pool.
Viewfinder Tip: Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows have the ultimate view for the fireworks show.
1. Disney Springs
Downtown Disney has completely transformed—with a new name too! Dozens of new shops and restaurants have been added to enhance the shopping, dining, and entertainment experience. Visit a new bar that’s themed after Indiana Jones, dine at a Japanese restaurant run by the celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto, or order a massive Baked Alaska at The BOATHOUSE®. You can also take a ride in a vintage amphicar that drives right into the lake.
