Top hotels in the Pacific Northwest

In my hometown of Seattle, I can be a little biased on accommodations. Some of my favorite hotels are right here in my own backyard, among the pine trees, on the shores of Puget Sound, and in Washington wine country. While I have a long list of favorite Pacific Northwest hotels, there are a select few that made it on the list of Expedia's 2013 Insiders’ Select™ List of The World’s Best-Reviewed Hotels

To be included is a high honor, as the team looked at more than 150,000 hotel properties to short list the top 650, called the Insiders’ Select hotels. When developing this list of the best hotels in the world, Expedia took into consideration a combination of guest reviews, Expedia’s hotel expertise, and overall value. Some of the top-ranked Seattle area hotels include:

1. Hotel 1000 (Hotel rank #282). Tech-savvy travelers will love this hotel in Downtown Seattle near Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, and Seattle’s famous waterfront. Grab dinner at the trendy BOKA restaurant and head downstairs to perfect your swing at the hotel's private, virtual golf course.

2. Cedarbrook Lodge (Hotel rank #367). Convenience meets luxury at this lodge near SeaTac Airport. Close to the Tyee Valley Golf Course, food and drinks are available when you wind down after your arrival.

3. Willows Lodge (Hotel rank #446). Nestled on five rural acres along the Sammamish River in Woodinville, Willows Lodge is just across the street from the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. Adjacent to the Columbia Winery and Redhook Brewery, the property features extensive gardens, guest rooms with stone fireplaces, and is located within walking distance to a growing number of wine tasting rooms in Woodinville.
