Spring Break beach deals for families

Who doesn’t love a beach vacation for Spring Break? Just the thought of warm sand between my toes and sunshine on my face makes me giddy with anticipation for a Spring Break beach trip. There is something so soothing about shedding the cold, grey blanket of winter. Especially when you live in a place like Seattle (which we do).

Over the years, my family and I haveexplored many different destinations for Spring Break, but we love the quick accessibility of destinations such as Los Cabos, Mexico. Booking a hotel in one of these popular spring break destinations can be overwhelming, but if you know where to look (and use tricks such as bundling your hotel and airfare together to save money), you can snag a sweet deal. Here are three vacation package deals we found from Seattle for a Spring Break in Los Cabos, this April. Now we just have to decide which one to book.

Grand Solmar Lands End Resort & Spa

The Grand Solmar Lands End Resort & Spa sits on the stunning Pacific Coast side of Cabo San Lucas. While this beach is not safe for swimming, the sunrises and ocean views are as spectacular as the property's 4.5-star suites and studios. Packages start at US$1,029 per person, including airfare and six nights in a Grand Studio room with a full kitchen. This setup gives you the option to cook your own family meals.

Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa Golden All-Inclusive

My husband and I stayed at the Marina Fiesta Resort during one of our first visits to Cabo. This moderately priced, all-inclusive property sits right on the downtown marina and is very conveniently located to daytime shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Downtown Cabo can get pretty wild late at night, so hotels such as the Marina Fiesta can provide a quick retreat for a late night family swim or movie night in the room. From US$818 per person, Expedia's all-inclusive vacation packages include airfare, six nights of accommodations, taxes and fees. Be sure to check with the hotel directly for all-inclusive meal and beverage restrictions, and special meal plan rates for children.

Viewfinder Tip: Bundling airfare and hotel (and rental car!) saves money.

Welk Resort Sirena del Mar

If you are looking for an upscale Cabo beach vacation package for incredible value, consider the Welk Resort Sirena del Mar. Kids stay free at this property, which has a 96 percent guest approval rating, sits on a private cove, and has two infinity pools. By bundling your airfare and hotel, rates start at just US$671 per person. That rate includes six nights in a one-bedroom, deluxe garden view villa. Be sure and check with the property directly before booking, as the hotel is currently undergoing renovation that was due to end in April 2015.

Fortunately, there always are new beach hotels to discover in Los Cabos and beyond. Keep an eye on the Expedia VIewfinder blog for the latest news, and follow Expedia's beach deals for the latest vacation packages and inspirations throughout the year.
