The Best Bachelor Party in Seattle

Hey, best man, here’s a few things you might not know about Seattle. First, it gets less rainfall than Atlanta (we have receipts). Second, it’s home to an underground city and historical saloons. And third, a bachelor party in Seattle is an awesome way to celebrate your closest friendships before you get hitched!

Check out our bachelor party ideas and start planning an unforgettable bacchanalia of bachelorhood!

If You Chill Old School

By “old school” we mean really old. A huge section of Pioneer Square burned to the ground during a grease fire in 1889, and developers built new structures directly over the remains. Gather your crew to explore spooky caverns and alleyways on a Seattle Underground tour.

After an hour ambling around at sea level, head to Smith Tower and sip a classic Tom Collins at the Observatory & Bar. Completed in 1914, the skyscraper offers some of the best views in the city. There’s a reason Seattle is one of the best cities for a bachelor party—bottoms up, boys!

If You’re Secretly a Superhero

Seattle has seen its share of real-life vigilante superheroes. If you and your entourage want to practice your flying knee strikes and double leg takedowns, you’re in good company. We don’t recommend taking justice into your own hands, but it’s a great workout!

Leave your capes at home and join a free trial class at Ivan Salaverry Mixed Martial Arts, or ask about a private session. Contact ISMMA ahead of time to make sure they have space for your group and leave your capes at home. Classes include boxing, kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and more!

If You’re Thirsty

Whether it’s thirsty Thursday or any other day of the week, a beer tour in Seattle will hit the spot. Add a little wine and a local guide, and you’re set. Take this chef-guided beer and wine tour of Pike Place Market to sample Emerald City’s best sips and small plates, starting at Pike Brewing Company.

Farther north, the Ballard neighborhood is full of personality…and pubs. Kick off the journey at Sloop Tavern, then sip your way across NW Market Street—or head south on Ballard Avenue NW and wrap around the waterfront. If you reach the Fremont Troll, you’ve made quite a trek and deserve one more celebratory round at award-winning Fremont Brewing.

Five words: party bus with a pole. It doesn’t matter where you’re going—OK, it does—as long as you get there in style. Local party experts Creative Bus are all about the journey…and the shenanigans. Their fleet of party buses are equipped with neon lights, dance poles, and other amenities to get you into just the right amount of trouble.

Due to Washington State law, you’ll have to choose between booze and boobs on your bachelor party in Seattle, but that’s OK. Kittens Cabaret is considered one of the top gentlemen’s clubs in the state, and it’s welcoming to any women in your friend group too! It’s also located right next door to The Dog House Bar & Grill, so good food and drinks are close at hand.

If Mother Nature is Your First Love

Go ahead and admit it—love is a great adventure, but nothing beats a long hike and coastal views. Lace up your boots and explore 534-acre Discovery Park. Located on Magnolia Bluff, Discovery Park is ADA-accessible and home to waterfront trails. Give your adrenaline a jumpstart on the zipline, hike to West Point Lighthouse, or splash in Puget Sound.

If your friends don’t mind getting wet, suit up for a kayaking excursion on the Lakes-to-Locks-Trail. Join the waterways at any of the 100 public launch points along Lake Union, Lake Sammamish, and Lake Washington. You’ll have no problem finding kayak rentals near the launch points. The trail concludes at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, just south of Ballard.

If You’re a Superstar

Reciting your marriage vows in front of a crowd can be intimidating. Practice getting up in front of your friends and singing your heart out at a private karaoke party. Rent a party room at Rock Box and belt out your best power ballads. If “No Scrubs” makes its way into the lineup, we won’t judge.

Not ready to burst into song just yet? Try out your best material at a comedy open mic night. Several indie venues clear the stage for new talent. Get on the roster at these fun bachelor party ideas!

  • Jai Thai in Fremont serves up open mic laughs with massaman curry on Tuesdays
  • Laughs Comedy Club Seattle in University District hosts open mic on Wednesdays
  • Rendezvous in Belltown features open mic stand-up on Tuesdays and improv comedy on Thursdays at Naked Brunch

Where to Stay in Seattle

Where is the best neighborhood in Seattle? Well, that depends entirely on the vibe you’re looking for. We scouted out three popular neighborhoods that are close to all the action or offer on-site amenities for a great Seattle bachelor party. They’re home to some of the best hotels in Seattle.

  • Downtown – Stay here to be steps from all the great attractions and eateries in Pioneer Square and Pike Place. You probably don’t have much room on your itinerary for sleeping, but that doesn’t mean your hotel should be an afterthought. Quite the opposite! Stay at Palihotel Seattle for luxury and rustic ambiance with all the customized service of a boutique hotel.
  • Queen Anne – Located northwest of downtown, Queen Anne is surprisingly peaceful for such a popular neighborhood. Lower Queen Anne is home to Seattle Center and the Space Needle, while the rest of the ’hood boasts awesome bars and cafes as well as lots of peoplewatching. Stay at Mediterranean Inn in Lower Queen Anne. All of the rooms feature kitchenettes and guests have access to the rooftop terrace.
  • SeaTac – Staying near the airport is super convenient, especially if you have a short time in the city or an early flight to catch. It’s a welcome escape from the city and has plenty of hotels that will make you feel right at home. Check out Cedarbrook Lodge for a comfortable place to land. Lots of natural light will refresh your crew after even the longest night, and onsite activities like pool and mountain biking will make you want to throw the whole party at the hotel.

If You’re Visiting Seattle for the First Time

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Flights to Seattle touch down at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, approximately 14.5 miles south of downtown. The airport is easy to navigate and has lots of great places to eat, whether you’re craving a burger or a hearty vegan sandwich. Grab a cup of coffee at Caffe Vita as you wait for your friends to arrive.

How to get around in Seattle

Seattle is a long, narrow city, so good transportation is key. Fortunately, the region has excellent public transportation and plenty of car rental and rideshare options, as well as bike lanes.

  • Rideshare and taxi: Rides from the airport to a hotel downtown will cost about $30-35.
  • Public transportation: If you’re staying in one of the more central neighborhoods, then an ORCA card may be the best option for you. This transit pass includes regional buses, light rail, streetcars, and commuter trains, and a day pass costs $8, plus a one-time fee of $5 for the card.
  • Driving: Traveling with a small group? If you can fit into one vehicle, and you’re staying away from the city center, renting a car may be the best way for you to get around, and you can pick up your wheel at the airport.

Now that you have all the info you need, it’s time to go out there and enjoy your epic party with your friends! Make this a bachelor party they’ll never forget.
