The Causeway Coastal Route in photos
The Causeway Coastal Route of Northern Ireland is considered one of the best drives in the world. In 2014, when we drove the 120-mile route from Belfast to Londonderry, we understood why.
Along this stretch, the rugged coast took our breath away as we stood on the edge of high cliffs overlooking the raging sea. We marveled at the perfectly formed hexagonal basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, and we learned of recent and ancient history as we toured medieval castles, modern museums, and abandoned estates.
It’s difficult to capture the diversity and beauty of this scenic drive in words, so hopefully a sampling of our photos from the excursion will do the trick. Enjoy this visual journey of the Causeway Coastal Route.
