Top 5 hidden things in Walt Disney World

With so much to see and do at Walt Disney World, it can be easy to miss some of the magic that’s hidden in plain sight.

Devoted fans of Disney want to know as many insider-y facts as possible, so the Expedia Viewfinder travel blog team went on a mission to find the top hidden things at Walt Disney World. We found things very few people know about that you can spy during your next visit. Just think of the bragging rights you’ll earn.

5. Shop windows

At Magic Kingdom park, you can see the artfully decorated windows high above the shops along Main Street, U.S.A. The names written on the windows are a who’s who of Disney legends, including Walt Disney himself.

4. Forced perspective

When strolling down Main Street, U.S.A, make sure to look up. You’ll notice that the upper floors of the buildings get progressively shorter. This effect gives the illusion of height without obstructing your view of Cinderella Castle.

3. Hidden Mickey

Think you spy the iconic Mickey shape in unlikely locales throughout the theme parks and resorts? You might be right. Look around and you might spot some hidden Mickeys in unusual places.

2. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

Pick up special cards and you’re off on an adventure pinning good against evil with hidden clues throughout the park.

1. Tree of Life

Go to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to find the Tree of Life. Disney Imagineers went to great lengths to blend more than 300 amazing animal shapes into the branches and trunk of the park’s towering icon.
